Frequently Asked Questions

Our Church Retreat is for any family, size, or make up. It is one week, Sunday night through Friday morning. We hit the ground running, and our main desire is for every person to have a time of fun together, alone time, rest, and relaxation. We have intentionally designed our schedule to allow for all of these things and more. Sunday is our kick-off BBQ dinner, and we will spend the evening in the main sanctuary worshiping the Lord and getting to know one another. Throughout the week, there will be Bible studies and worship in the mornings and evenings, games, crafts, activities, downtime, swimming, pong pong, and snack bar hang time. There will be an evening bonfire with s'mores, as well as movie nights and other fun activities for all ages. There are also many opportunities to just relax.
If you are a single registrant, we will be rooming you with singles of the same gender. If you are a family, we will room you all together. If you have any questions, please email the Retreat Desk.
The Twin Peaks Conference center is nestled in the San Bernardino Mountains right next door to Lake Arrowhead. The elevation is approximately 4,000 feet, and the campus is tri-level. It is 100% wheelchair accessible. There is a considerable amount of stairs and walking throughout the week, as the campus is close but multi-level; so you will get your workout for the week. Whether young or old, it is very doable and manageable. The staff at Twin Peaks is very helpful if there are needs. This Conference Center is a 1960s remodeled retreat center and very nice. For pictures, visit tpretreats.com for more info. All rooms are located next to the main center, which has the kitchen and sanctuary (Level 1: bottom/main level); children's ministry rooms, check-in desk, and fireplaces (Level 2); and snack bar and game room (Level 3).
Gluten free options are available (and delicious!), but we must know at the time of your registration and/or at least 1 month in advance. The conference center staff will make their best effort to accommodate dietary restrictions and food sensitivities, as much as they are able.
The rooms accommodate six guests. There is a bunk bed, two single beds, and one queen bed. All bedding is provided as well as towels, soap, and shampoo (hotel sample size). There are heaters and a/c units for each room, one full bath/shower, and a sink. There are also decks for each room. There are main level rooms (about 10 stairs up) and lower rooms (about 10 stairs down). All rooms are located next to the main center, which has the kitchen and sanctuary (Level 1: bottom/main level); children’s ministry rooms, check-in desk, and fireplaces (Level 2); and snack bar and game room (Level 3).
We would be happy to accommodate you as best as we are able. If you need assistance getting around the campus, please let us know what those limitations are so we can make the necessary arrangements prior to your arrival.
This is your retreat. We want you to be equipped but also refreshed by your time away. So the choice is completely yours. We encourage you to be a part of as much as you are able, but come and go with joy.
Yes, children of all ages are welcome. Childcare is provided for ages 0-6th grade during the main sessions. We also have a JH & HS fellowship available during our main sessions.

Yes you can, BUT you would have to pay for the entire week. There isn’t a discount or arrangement to pay for individual days. Because our cost is set so low, we don’t accommodate partial days. We also would need to know what days you would be there so we can make sure your room is reserved, and depending on when you come or go, we can accommodate your access to your room.
Registration is on Sunday at the main entrance / desk from 4 PM-6 PM. Dinner starts at 6 PM. If you do arrive early (no earlier than 2 PM because the retreat center staff will be finishing preparations for the retreat), you may be able to check in IF our staff is set up and ready early. If not, then you will need to return at 4 PM.
Breakfast, lunch, and dinner on all of the full days (Tuesday-Friday). Sunday night, dinner is provided as well as Saturday morning breakfast. A snack bar is open during our afternoon free time (1-5 PM) and also after the evening session which ends at 9 PM. The snack bar remains open until 11 PM. Free coffee and muffins are available early every morning from 6-8 AM for early risers.
